Ray Atteberry

BACKGROUND: Ray Atteberry has been licensed in real estate since 1974 and began his career with ERA Landmark in 1978. He has been a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) since 1980 and has held a Graduate Realtor® Institute designation since 1977. Among his many real estate awards are Montana Association of Realtors® Salesman of the Year for 1977; Bozeman Board of Realtors® Salesman of the Year for 1977; the ERA Jackson Customer Service Award for 2000; 2005 Gallatin Association of Realtors® Realtor of the Year; and 2005 Montana Association of Realtors® Realtor of the Year. He also has been a member of the ERA Leaders Circle in 1994, 1997, and 2000-2007. Ray specializes in relocation, new construction, residential resale and subdivision land brokerage.

EDUCATION: Ray earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the College of Idaho in 1962 and completed graduate work in public administration at George Washington University. Prior to becoming a Realtor, Ray worked at the Internal Revenue Service, the Civil Service Commission and the Bureau of Census. He has attended numerous real estate continuing education classes over the past 28 years.
COMMUNITY SERVICE AND PROFESSIONAL INVOLVEMENT: Ray has been a member of the Gallatin Empire Lions Club for 25 years and has been an advisory board member for the Bozeman Area Battered Women’s Network. He is a graduate of the Bozeman Area Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Bozeman program and has instructed subsequent classes. He has had extensive involvement with the Montana Association of Realtors serving as a state director and chairing the state Professional Standards Committee. He also has served as President, Vice President and Local Director of the Bozeman and Gallatin Association of Realtors®, chairing the Grievance Committee and the Nominations Committee and serving on the Fair Housing, Ethics, Education, and Government Affairs Committees.
PERSONAL: Ray and his wife, Katherine, have two children and have lived in Bozeman since 1973. Ray enjoys reading, hunting, photography, travel and work.
